Tide, Gain, All, and every other detergent in between clean laundry, but they are not all equal in cleaning power. Some people base their choice off of price chase based off of price, smell, or advertisements. Your good ole pals at Jiffy Clean Laundry & Dry Cleaning has compiled a quick list of detergent types and our suggested choices. Remember, these are our choices and are strictly recommendations. You are free to use any type of your choice.
Liquid detergent is great for pretreating stains and is less likely to inflict detergent stains on your clothes during the cleaning process. Persil ProClean Stain Fighter Power Liquid is one of our favorite choices. We have used this detergent on our toughest stains and smelliest laundry. More than ofter, Persil gets the job done. Honorable mentions include Tide Oxi, and Oxiclean Liquid Detergent.
Detergent pods are convenient and pack a powerful punch for their size. Our favorite pod for use is Tide Oxi. We have found Tide Oxi is as powerful as its liquid version when dosed appropriately. Honorable mention is Gain Pods. Gain Pods work great, don’t get me wrong, but they we aren’t really blown away by our results when using them. Pods to avoid are any cheap dollar branded pods that resembles powder incased in pod form. These aren’t good and definitely will not get your laundry as clean as you hope.
Powder detergents are stronger in the cleaning department. We have tested quite a few and give Tide Plus Bleach Powder the best rating. It’s safe for all clothing including colors. Honorable mention includes Gain and Surf.
Sensitive skin, detergents with Clorox 2, and all naturals are all the rave. Sensitive skin detergents aren’t all created equally. We have noticed some of our customers can’t use certain brands even though they are marketed as free and clear, while others can just use any brand of free and clear. We have also noticed, All Free and Clear Detergent is the best. It has performed nearly flawless in cleaning power and we have received no complaints of irritation even from our most skin sensitive clients.
Clorox 2 is very useful in the category of laundry stain booster. Couple this with a good detergent such as Purex and you have a power 1, 2 punch. When Persil nor Tide Oxi is available for us, we turn to Purex with Clorox 2. Not only does it leave clothes clean, it has a light fresh smell that rivals the high end priced detergents. Matter of fact, if you are on a budget, Purex with Clorox 2 is the best bargain on the market.
Natural detergents are good. We really dont use them much and they are quite pricey. We have used Ecos detergent. We chose this one particulary due to its enzyme fighting action that is used to break down odors and stains. The results were good and we would use again for sure.
